By creating an account or playing Hallowmyr you agree to these terms and to the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not play.
1. Who can play
You must be 13 or older to create an account or play. Keep to one account per person; it holds all your characters.
2. It is an alpha test
- Hallowmyr is unfinished. Expect bugs, downtime, rebalancing and missing features.
- Characters, items, gold, homes, guilds, rankings and whole accounts may be changed, rolled back or wiped at any time, with or without notice. Do not spend time or money you are not happy to lose.
- Nothing you earn in the game has real-world value, and nothing is promised to carry over to a later version.
- We may change, pause or end the game, or remove features, at any time.
3. No warranty
The game is provided "as is", free of charge, with no promise that it will work, be available, be secure or be free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress, lost items or any other loss from playing. Nothing here limits a right you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
4. Be decent
Do not:
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or share personal information about them;
- post sexual or illegal content in chat, names, guilds, letters or anywhere else in the game;
- choose names, guild names or titles that are offensive, that pretend to be staff, or that copy another person;
- spam, advertise or scam other players;
- share your password or let someone else use your account. You are responsible for what happens on it.
5. No cheating or exploits
- Do not use bots, macros that play for you, modified clients, packet tools or anything else that gives an unfair advantage.
- Do not use bugs or exploits, for example to duplicate items or gold. If you find one, report it with
/bugand do not use it. Anything gained from an exploit may be removed. - Do not attack, overload or probe the servers, the website or other players' accounts.
6. No real-money trading
Do not buy, sell or trade items, gold, characters or accounts for real money, gift cards or anything else of real-world value, and do not offer to. Game items are for play only.
7. Game masters and enforcement
Game masters (GMs) and admins keep the game fair. They may warn you, mute you, remove a message, change a name, kick you, remove items or gold, roll back a character, or suspend or ban an account, for a while or for good, when we think these terms were broken or the game or its players need protecting. GM actions are recorded. If you think a decision was wrong, contact us and we will look at it; our decision is final.
8. What you write
You keep ownership of what you write (chat, letters, names, bug reports). You give us permission to store, show and use it in the game and to run and improve it. The game, its art, music, text and code belong to Hallowmyr and its creators; do not copy or sell them.
9. Your data
How we handle your data, and how to have your account deleted, is in the Privacy notice.
10. Leaving
You can stop playing and ask for your account to be deleted at any time (see the Privacy notice). We may close an account that breaks these terms or has been unused for a long time.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, especially as the alpha grows into a full game. The date below shows the latest version. If you keep playing after a change, you accept it. Big changes will be announced in the News.
